Emilee Eppler

Founder | Retirement Specialist

Emilee is passionate about helping federal employees protect and maximize their benefits for a successful, worry-free retirement.

She is a certified trainer for the Federation of Federal Retirement Authority, a registered vendor with the federal government to provide benefits and retirement education to federal employees. Perhaps more importantly though is her firsthand experience as the spouse of a federal retiree. She truly understands firsthand how confusing the retirement process can be.

Her mission is to help clients understand their benefits and the many opportunities available to them and empower them with the confidence to manage their money and truly enjoy the retirement they’ve earned. Since starting her firm in 2018, Emilee has helped guide thousands of clients from dozens of federal agencies and departments to live out retirement on their terms.

“I’ve been where you are now,” says Emilee. “The retirement you’ve earned over a lifetime of service is more than possible with accurate information and an advisor who is in your corner all the way.”

Away from the office, Emilee can be found on the lake, lacrosse field, golf course or dance grounds with her husband, Eddy, and their son, Shine. In the fall, theirs is a house divided among Sooners, Pokes, Bears and Bucs fans. She serves on the Oneta Ridge Middle School PTA Board of Directors, teaches a 2nd grade Sunday School class with Eddy and is a member of the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce.

Katie Littlejohn

Retirement Specialist

As a southeast Kansas native and registered nurse, Katie has a vested interest in safeguarding the financial futures of her neighbors.

In her former career, Katie worked with thousands of terminal patients and their families. She saw all too often how poor financial planning and the lack of financial literacy burdened family members during an already stressful season.

As a member of the Federal Retirement Authority, Katie uses her expertise to provide care and clarity to her clients searching for ways to get the most out of their life savings. Whether deciding on your retirement timeline or maximizing your Social Security or Medicare benefits, Katie listens to your concerns, acts decisively and always provides a plan with your best interests in mind.

Katie, and her husband, Jay, have two children, Jackson and Kynlea. You can often find her serving in the community, spending time with her family at a ballfield or crafting something new she found on Pinterest.

Elizabeth Kinion

Client Relations Manager

With more than two decades of client service experience, Elizabeth’s meticulous attention to detail and genuine passion for helping others instills confidence in every client she encounters.

Elizabeth is the first person to greet you as you enter the building, the voice on the other end of the phone setting your appointments and the steady hand behind our smooth office operations.

When she’s not at the office, Elizabeth loves spending time with her husband, daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren in Broken Arrow or at their family place on the lake.

Eddy Eppler

Chief Operations Officer

Eddy understands firsthand the challenges federal employees face when preparing for retirement. He retired as a Federal Agent in 2022 with a career spanning over 28 years in law enforcement.

As our Chief Operating Officer, Eddy brings a wealth of experience and expertise with federal systems and processes. Perhaps more importantly is his role as our resident Golf Pro. Eddy always welcomes the opportunity to enjoy an afternoon on the golf course with our clients!

Like our clients, Eddy has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to public service, dedicating much of his life to safeguarding communities and upholding the law. His tenure as a Special Agent involved high-stakes operations, thorough investigations, and collaborations with various law enforcement agencies, all of which equipped him with unique insights and practical skills that he now applies to helping our business operate smoothly. His laid-back leadership style emphasizes collaboration, integrity, and respect, ensuring that every team member feels valued and empowered.

Outside of work, Eddy spends his time golfing, coaching Shine's lacrosse teams, participating in Pawnee tribal events and taking long walks with his favorite golden doodle, Bear. He and Emilee have taught Sunday School together in the Kids' Ministry for many years.

Shine Eppler

Sanitation Technician

Shine Eppler, is our dedicated Sanitation Technician who takes pride in keeping our office clean, as well as the fridge and snack bar well-stocked. Shine is only 11 but already shows a strong work ethic and a passion for his job, though some jobs more so than others!

Shine says after his professional lacrosse career, he plans to start taking the reins here at FRA and continue our legacy of caring for federal employees. Emilee (known as "Mom" to Shine) started her first lawn mowing business when she was his age and believes he won't fully appreciate the rewards of hard work if he doesn't start from the ground up. Shine doesn't fully agree with this but he'll appreciate it someday!

Outside of the office, Shine is an active member of his church's youth ministry, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Broken Arrow Indian Education program. About the only time you won't find a book in his hands is when he's playing lacrosse, football, golf or Nerf wars with his buddies. He also takes great pride in his Native American heritage and actively engages in activities that celebrate and preserve Pawnee traditions. By participating in these events, Shine not only connects with his roots but also educates others about the rich cultural heritage of Native Americans.

His favorite person in the world is his golden doodle, Bear. Like thousands of other parents, Mom and Dad caved during COVID and finally got him a dog, but now, of course, she's a member of the family.

With his love for God, his dedication to high grades and sports, involvement in cultural events, and the full-time job of being Bear's person, we're all proud to watch as Shine continues growing into the well-rounded young man God created him to be.
