Shine Eppler, is our dedicated Sanitation Technician who takes pride in keeping our office clean, as well as the fridge and snack bar well-stocked. Shine is only 13 but already shows a strong work ethic and a passion for his job, though some jobs more so than others!
Shine says after his professional lacrosse career, he plans to start taking the reins here at FRA and continue our legacy of caring for federal employees. Emilee (known as “Mom” to Shine) started her first lawn mowing business when she was his age and believes he won’t fully appreciate the rewards of hard work if he doesn’t start from the ground up. Shine doesn’t fully agree with this but he’ll appreciate it someday!
Outside of the office, Shine is an active member of his church’s youth ministry, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Broken Arrow Indian Education program. Eddy continues to serve through his positions on Tulsa’s Native American Community Committee, the American Indian Resource Center Advisory Committee for Tulsa Public Libraries, and the Broken Arrow Public Schools Indian Education program. Aside from golfing, he also enjoys coaching Shine’s lacrosse teams, participating in Pawnee Nation events and serving in his church and community with Emilee.
With his love for God, his dedication to high grades and sports, involvement in cultural events, and the full-time job of being Bear’s person, we’re all proud to watch as Shine continues growing into the well-rounded young man God created him to be.
